If this is your first visit, then let me introduce myself. I’m Faye Hughes. (No, that’s not my picture to the right. Sure, I love my laptop but not in that way.) I’m a writer of funny romance-mysteries, funny women’s fiction with a mystery thread and of non-fiction—usually about relationships, or writing. I also do writing workshops, both alone and with my non-fiction writing partner.
Feel free to take a tour of my website while you’re here. Look at my books—both past and future—as well as check out the info on me and my upcoming appearances. Oh, and be sure to read my monthly column about Writers and Technology.
Thanks again for dropping by. --Faye
What’s New?
June, 2010:
Sure, romance novels
are fun, pure fantasy,
but can they actually
teach a woman anything about love?
Christie and I recently turned in the manuscript for our next non-fiction book, scheduled for release in December, 2010. It’s called Wild, Wicked and Wanton: 101 Ways to Love Like You’re in a Romance Novel. We’re excited about the book and hope you will be, too – look for more details later.
July, 2009:
Check out the new video Christie Craig and I did for our workshop on pitching a manuscript to editors and agents.
How to Make the Perfect Pitch (Without Striking Out)
March, 2008: Christie and I just got the cover for THE EVERYTHING GUIDE TO WRITING A ROMANCE NOVEL. It's below.
October, 2007: The finished manuscript for The Everything Guide to Writing a Romance Novel, a how-to book that I’m doing with Christie Craig, has just been shipped off to Adams Media. Yay! The book is scheduled to be released in September of 2008. Check back for more info.
September, 2007: Check out the video teaser for the workshop Christie and I are doing on the Great Agent Hunt in April, 2008 at the RT Convention. Trust me...the teaser is funny but the workshop is going to be hysterical!
